Share the Love

This fundraiser helps provide holiday and weekend meals to homebound seniors not covered by regular Meals On Wheels funding. Just $5 provides one meal, and all donations are tax-deductible. Our goal is $50,000 (10,000 meals) — every $5 we fall short means one less meal for a senior in need.

Fayette Senior Services, Inc. has been making a meaningful difference in the emotional, social, and physical well-being of older adults by preserving their independence, improving their quality of life, and connecting them to the community since 1978.

Fayette Senior Services (FSS) offers a broad scope of life-enhancing services to Fayette County residents age 50 and better. We are not a government agency; however, our Life Enrichment Center (senior center) and our social services are provided on behalf of Fayette County government.

Fayette Senior Services’ efforts are made possible by the generosity of our community. Less than 50% of our programs are funded by federal, state, and local governments. The majority of our support comes from private donations, grants, program fees, and fundraising efforts. We sincerely appreciate your membership and your support. We welcome your donations to FSS.

"At 2 o'clock on a Friday afternoon, we received a call from a lady in Peachtree City desperate to pick up a prescription for her heart medicine. Unfortunately, all her usual rides from family and friends were unable to help this specific afternoon. She reached out to the Peachtree City Police for some advice on how to get her prescription before the pharmacy closed. They asked her if she had tried Fayette Senior Services. She gave us a call and spoke with Jeff Wix, FSS Transportation Manager, regarding the predicament she was in. She had not used our services before and had no idea if we could help on such short notice. Jeff didn’t hesitate to lend a helping hand. By 3 o'clock a driver was dispatched to her address to pick her up, take her to the pharmacy to get her medicine, and by 4:35, she was back home with her prescription in hand and very grateful to the driver and FSS! "

"Almost every month throughout the year, Fayette Senior Services welcomes members and their guests to join us after hours at a special event. FSS invited Town Square Playhouse to present a live musical. The members all enjoyed the evening, laughing and clapping throughout. After, one gentleman shared his appreciation saying, "I have been a member for many, many years and I just have to tell you that each year you guys outdo yourselves again. The programs offered are incredible and continue to get better and better and the effort you all put into creating this place for us to enjoy is so obvious. I just want to thank you for giving us something to look forward to and not becoming complacent in all you do!" Hearing these words are the reason we do what we do every day. We want to give seniors a place to call their own and something to always look forward to!"

"Meals On Wheels (MOW) is about more than just a warm meal, it also provides companionship and a wellness check each day for those receiving them. Many of our clients often share the impact it has on their lives and their gratitude for the service! “I look forward to receiving Meals On Wheels every day, not only for the meals, but also for the companionship it provides for me! It is more than just a meal, it makes those getting them feel loved and like they mean something to the community. I was provided the opportunity to have a tasty and healthy meal and the drivers who deliver the meals have become some of my closest friends. Without MOW, I would have little contact with others. Meals On Wheels is my whole day!” expressed one of FSS’ MOW recipients. We are fortunate to have such an amazing team of MOW volunteers who create lasting relationships with recipients! "
