Learning Programs
Beginning in January, evening classes will be offered at our Center which will target adults age 50 and better. Classes are for those interested in continued learning for personal growth or being meaningfully engaged in paid or volunteer work.

Most people don’t think of themselves as “caregivers” even though it is a word commonly used by aging experts to describe anyone who provides help to another person with basic tasks of daily living such as dressing, shopping, taking medication or bathing. More....
 New Class! Jamaican Way Thursday, January 15
9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
$7 Members | $12 Non-members
Using story, song and video, the program traces Jamaica's rich history from its founding to Bob Marley's reggae beat. Attendees will also get to enjoy a "taste" of Jamaican food and drink.
The presenter, Verna Muthoni, is a native Jamaican and a retired Librarian who has presented this and other programs to audiences of all ages. Pre-registration and fee payment required.
AARP Tax Return Assistance
Friday, February 13 • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Friday, March 13 • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Once again this year, AARP is offering free tax aid to assist with personal income tax returns. Walk-ins are welcome but we do encourage you to reserve a time slot to prevent excessive waiting. Call 770-461-0813 for a reservation. Bring last year’s tax return and all other tax documents necessary for your 2008 filing.

We can also notify you of unscheduled closings of the Center due to weather or maintenance problems.
