March 25, 2025. FAYETTEVILLE, GA. Fayette Senior Services, Inc. (FSS), a 501 (c)(3) non-profit charity, would like to recognize the generosity of the voters of Fayette County for their support in passing the SPLOST during the 2023 election. This vote helped support Fayette Senior Services’ transportation program by providing new vehicles each year for their fleet over the next six years. With the demand of non-emergency medical transportation services in Fayette County, FSS’ fleet drives hundreds of thousands of miles each year, putting much wear and tear on their vehicles. This has created the need to replace on average two or more vehicles each year. The impact this incredible service has for so many is immeasurable, and with these additions to the fleet each year, FSS will be able to continue to maintain and grow their services in providing low-cost transportation options for the seniors of Fayette County!
The simple task of driving a car is not an option to many seniors in Fayette County. As the leading provider of low-cost transportation services available in the county, the Fayette Senior Services team delivers seniors to crucial doctor visits, dialysis, and pharmacy pick-ups on a daily basis. Fayette Senior Services is the only option for many in our community to get to their life-saving treatments at an affordable cost. Jeff Wix, FSS Transportation Manager, sees firsthand the impact it plays in the lives of so many: “Seeing the relief of our clients when we arrive and hearing the appreciation of having a reliable and safe ride really puts into perspective how we take for granted our own ability to drive ourselves. I constantly hear ‘I don’t know what I would do without FSS and this service’ and it is apparent how needed it truly is. We are proud to be able to offer this to seniors in our community,” shares Wix. To help support this program, FSS has created a unique opportunity for organizations to support their transportation program while also obtaining advertising on their vehicles. This opportunity will include your organization’s logo on a van wrap in two locations, the side and the back of a vehicle. For a $1,500 donation towards the transportation program, FSS is offering your organization’s logo on their upcoming van wrap. The transportation team at FSS transports approximately 400 clients nearly 1,900 times per month for over 225,000 miles every year.
